Rogers Offering Free Sony Headphones
The Sony Xperia has always produced top-notch but under-rated phones. Xperia phones usually have a premium feel as well as water-resistance, and the camera is always more than sufficient. With the new Xperia X Performance devices coming soon, Canadian carrier Rogers Wireless is offering a pair of free Sony headphones valued at $399.99 when both new and existing customers reserve the Xperia X Performance online on select 2-year plans.
The Xperia X Performance phone itself
The phone itself is similar in feel to the Z5. It has an aluminum body with a brushed aluminum back, leaving behind the glass back, a decision which we’re really a fan of. The glass back never really felt sturdy in our hands and we were always afraid of dropping it. It has a physical camera button which allows you to half-press to focus and full-press to take a photo. In terms of camera, the Xperia X Performance has Sony’s top-of-the-line 23MP rear lens with a 13MP lens for the front-shooter. It costs more than the regular Xperia X, but it also comes with a better processor (Snapdragon 820), and IP68 water-resistance.
To qualify for the free Sony Headphones
To qualify for the free headphones, you would have to do an online-reservation, purchase, and activate the Sony Xperia X Performance on select post-paid 2-year plans. The offer runs only from June 23rd to July 14th or until they run out. It’s $199.99 on 2-year plans or $699.99 if you purchase the phone outright--but you wouldn’t get the headphones if you choose to buy it no-term.
